The perfect day:
A group of great friends, amazing weather, an incredible city… mix in a bit of shopping, fabulous theater, unbelievable food, and a star-run in… and you have a birthday celebration in London.
In celebration of one of my best friend’s birthdays, we took an early morning bus into London and headed to Portobello market for some fabulous wanderings and a bit of shopping before a picnic lunch in Kensington Park. Under a spectacular blue sky, we opened our Fortnum and Mason hamper, popped the champagne and enjoyed a delicious picnic of sliced meats, cheeses, crackers, scones, and jams.
Following a leisurely walk through Kensington and Hyde Parks, we hightailed it through Covent Garden to reach our dinner destination: Café Pacifico. Café Pacifico served the most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever enjoyed outside of Mexico and California. Brie and Mango Jalapeno Quesadillas, anyone? Que deliciosa!
After successfully lightening a very heavily laden table, our evening’s adventures took us to the Savoy Theatre… to see Legally Blonde the musical! And OMG! You guys! It was fantastic… we even met the stars after the show! It was a pink filled way to end a wonderful day…
